“Falling in life is inevitable – staying down is optional.” Carrie Johnson

Life will knock you down, no question; it’s getting back up that’s the question – will you? In some situations it’s much easier to get back up and try again or move to to something else, but you got up. While other situations it seems easier to stay down – you feel defeated, let down, worthless and the list can go on but in these situations I encourage you to think of these four simple words – I am with you. God is always with you! “You recall that not only am I with you, I am holding your right hand. I guide you with My counsel, and afterward I will take you into Glory.” (Jesus Calling – Sarah Young). I know in these moments it doesn’t feel like God is there, let alone holding our hand, but He is, He always is. I truly believe we need to fall in order to really experience life and what He has provided for us. Without falling you learn nothing, you can’t grow, you can’t find your true strength and who you really are. God created each of us just as He wanted, but didn’t give us perfection or all the answers because then what’s the point of life if we had everything from day one. Life is messy, hard, painful, joyous, triumph and without our falls we wouldn’t be able to experience any of those feelings. He knows of our falls that are coming and why they happen, but leaves it to us on how to respond to that fall – will we get up or stay down? Remember you’re there for a reason and that you’re never alone, He is with you.
