“Pain nourishes courage. You can’t be brave if you’ve only had wonderful things happen to you.” Mary Tyler Moore
As hard as pain is to endure, I do think we become better from it. As much as we all want the world and our lives to be easy, kind and pain free; it just isn’t. I thank God each day in my prayers for my challenging, hard times as much as I thank Him for my triumphs, joyful times. Pain can come in many levels and forms, from physical to emotional and can last for years or just hours. I think embrace the pain not run or wallow in it. By accepting it you can use it to help better yourself, grow and become a better version of you. The pain from our loss is still there, even years later. My heart still aches and tears still flow. I accept this pain, as I know it will make me stronger and braver because I know this level of pain is one of the worst there is and if I can come through to the other side of it, I know I can do anything and I’m better for it. There will always be triggers that remind or bring back that pain you’ve experienced, but having worked through the pain the first time you know now what to expect and you’ve grown from it, you’re better! God is always there through everything and some may question, even become angry that He has given us this pain, but I invite you to step back and really look at the outcome of that pain. What did you learn? Did you grow? Did you get through it? He gave it to you for a reason, accept it and know He will walk through it with you, always!
