Roots

When I look at a tree I am amazed of what it can uphold, withstand and still standing so tall and strong. Each of us come from roots so to speak, some are stronger than others, some grow deeper than others and some have more than others. However each of us has a family of some sorts and that began with roots. If you look at a family like a tree you can see that we started from the roots and grow up and branched out. Some branches grow longer and farther away from the roots, while some stay close by. Some of those branches even blossom other parts of them and may eventually fall off and begin a new set of roots to begin a new family. Looking at this as an aspect of each of us, know that no matter where your branch grows out to, how far away it gets from the roots, always know the roots will never leave. Some of us are more fortunate than others that our main roots stay strong, grow stronger than others who may decay, slowly break apart.

I know I am one of those fortunate ones; I come from strong, dependable roots that I know I can always count on to remember where I came from and who I am, no matter how far away I branch. I can always come home!

Always be thankful for your roots, because without them you wouldn’t be you. Even if it’s hard at times to be you or even knowing your roots. Know that God gave you those roots for a reason, you were meant to grow from that particular root; you do have the choice to grow far away and never look back but you always have the choice to return to where it began.
